Do I Really Have To Buy Visual Composer Too?

I did not notice anywhere that said I HAD to buy the visual composer to make this work. I installed this plugin and don’t see any info regarding setting it up without the visual composer. I am already using the Divi builder and wasn’t expecting to be required to get this. How do I set up the short codes to make this work with my Woocommerce?
