Problem with thumbnails after update

So I installed the update that fixed a problem with how the Youtube player looked. The new problem is this:

When I go to Videos -> YouTube Player -> Select YouTube player controls and I choose “default”, the thumbnail looks pixelated. When I choose “custom”, it looks great like it’s supposed to… but I have the problem I had before the update, aka I get the Viem player over the Youtube one. In both cases I pull the thumbnail in its best quality via the “Featured Image from URL” plugin. Attached are two images-examples.

Is there any wa y to fix this? Thank you.
