This actually happens somewhat often, unpredictably. The video starts, but the Viem player just remains stuck at 00:00. If I click to any place in the timeline in the Viem video (which I did in the below screenshot), it starts the video over at the beginning.
If you look closely in the screen shot, the video is at 00:04, and Viem is at 00:00
