The plugin Widget Settings Importer/Exporter is not required.
All you need is install and activate the plugin DawnThemes core and import the demo by oneclick. If you still have the errors when importing. Please give us an administrator account (via private reply) so we can check directly on your site and help you import it.
The shortcode Product Categories provided by WooCommerce as default. and it only display the categories.
And in the screenshot I show you the shortcode product_categories #above: the description for this shortcode is: List all (or limited) product categories.
So you can limited the categories to display by Manual Selection option in Query of this shortcode. (see the screnshot I show you)
You are using it incorrectly.
I have just imported the Shop Template. In the archive pages ( include: Shop page, Category page, tag page ). To display the products loop, we will use the element Archive Products Loop not Products in your template.
We recommended you refer to:

And regarding the Shop pagination: when I check the default shop page by your theme (see the screenshot I show you) the shop pagination disabled, only show 6 products per 55. I tried to find a option in your theme to setting it but not found. With this issue, please contact your theme author and ask for this. We can’t help you if/even the default not works.
It only possible in the element Archive Products Loop.
and In the customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog (see the screenshots I show you) you can select the option Show Subcategories and Products.
